Chikunto Safari Lodge is blessed with an ideal location inside Zambia’s world-renowned South Luangwa National Park, known as The Valley of the Leopards, on the banks of the meandering Luangwa river.

With just the 5 luxury Tented Suites, including 1 x spacious two-bedroomed Family Suite, Chikunto Safari Lodge is an independent, boutique Ecolodge that is closely entwined with the local community and committed to delivering life-changing experiences for its guests and to making a tangible difference to the lives of both the local wildlife and the local communities.

The location on the famous Big Bend site means that the Lodge is easily accessible from the regional Airport at Mfuwe yet is away from the slightly busier Mfuwe Central area of the National Park – also provides easy access to the more remote northern sector, with the Ebony Forest and the Hot Springs being major attractions.

Chikunto Safari Lodge manages to combine the best elements of being a Lodge with those of being a Camp; delivering an authentic African ‘bush’ experience whilst at the same time underpinning it with a high level of discrete luxury – as evidenced by the unique saltwater counter-current swimming pool, complete with views directly out to the new waterhole.
