Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge offers experienced safari travellers unique access to one of the last true pristine wilderness areas in Africa – Gonarezhou National Park. This is a truly remote corner of Africa, where the wildlife remains unhabituated, and the stunning scenery can be enjoyed in near isolation. The lodge was built by international award-winning conservationist Clive Stockil, as part of the very first CAMPFIRE project, and is staffed almost entirely by the local community. Located high above the Save River, the majority of the 10 luxury stand-alone villas enjoy spectacular views over the river.

Our team of excellent guides will introduce guests to a stunning wilderness, with untamed wildlife and amazing scenery. A range of activities is available, including a visit to the iconic Chilojo cliffs, together with cultural visits to Mahenye village. Guests can also stay at our semi-luxury tented camp, or venture out on our ‘Ivory Trail Adventure’ mobile camping experience.
