Chiwani Safari Camps

Dwarfed by and hidden amongst the ochre boulders strewn across Damaraland’s vast, ancient landscape are Chiwani Safari Camp’s two uniquely iconic camps – Mowani Mountain Camp and Camp Kipwe.

Mowani Mountain Camp offers spellbinding views as it sits amid the granite boulders of a kopje. Its organic design has earned it an architectural eco-design award, whilst the interior décor combines elegance, earthiness, and tranquillity.

Camp Kipwe is almost invisible, designed to look and feel as if it is part of the rounded boulders but with sweeping views across the Aba Huab valley.

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Twyfelfontein, famous for its ancient rock paintings and engravings, or explore this arid region in search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants which survive this harsh environment.
