South Africa, Stellenbosch winelands, 30 minutes from Cape Town, Hazendal wine estate is a world-class destination offering culture, cuisine, adventure and entertainment for the entire family.
Hazendal is one of the oldest farms in the South Africa, dating to 1699, when Christoffel Hazenwinkel settled against the Bottelary Hills. Noting the abundance of Cape hares, he named the farm Hazendal; Dutch for ‘Valley of the Hares’.
Hazendal prides itself on being a family-friendly destination that caters for all generations. While adults can enjoy the journey of art and culture, indulge in various eateries, or simply drink in the open-air splendour of the estate, younger visitors will be entranced by the colourful world of Wonderdal.
Wonderdal offers an immersive and interactive edutainment experience for children between the age of 5 and 13.
Hazendal offers accommodation in the 18th century Homestead, an exclusive-use, 5- bedroom Cape Dutch Home. We anticipate the opening of the new luxurious 34-bedroom boutique hotel due to open the last quarter of 2023.
Hazendal’s wines take centre-stage in the opulent, Wine Lounge adding a Sensory Experience in Hazendal’s Wine Library.
The opulent Russian Tea Room is home to the perfect High Tea Experience.
The Deli offers a family-friendly dining. Enjoy this culinary journey with panoramic views out over the historic farmstead.
The Beer Garden is an ideal space for casual get-togethers and operates from within the historic kraal.
The Marvol Gallery is a unique space offering an ever-changing roster of exhibitions.
The intersection of European and South African culture finds an outlet in the monthly Hazendal Jazz Club evenings.
Hazendal Golf is a world-class 18-hole par-3 golf course complimented by the Burrow Driving Range with 32 InRange-enabled bays.
Hazendal’s array of venues and experiential offerings play host to an incredible diversity of functions and is a sought after events venue.
