“JAMALA” is the Swahili word for “natural elegance”.  Elegant (adj.) – is defined as “graceful and stylish; pleasantly ingenious and simple”.
“SAFARI”, another Swahili word that means “journey” or “to travel”,  has come to mean so very much more.  Imbued with a sense of the exotic, more typically a sense of Africa, the word safari has today become symbolic of something far more romantic; it evokes images of adventure and stylish indulgence.
Panoramic views, exotic sounds, and wild perfumes of the bush are hallmarks of the Jamala Madikwe experience. From its genteel position beneath a canopy of age-old Leadwood trees, the deck-fringed lodge gives way to views of open savanna lands and a watering hole that plays host to Africa’s wildlife. Jamala Madikwe caters to a maximum of 10 guests only, within 5 luxurious villas. Owner-managed, our guests are assured of exclusive luxury, absolute privacy, and unmatched levels of personal service.

Renowned for unsurpassed game viewing, luxurious accommodation, and exceptional cuisine.
Each aspect complements and accentuates the other for the ultimate African Safari Experience.
With our newly constructed “Fire Pit” and existing “Watch Tower” offering a new fresh photographic experience overlooking our private and very active waterhole right in front of the main building.
Ideal also to laze away the afternoon between brunch and yet another delicious high tea before embarking on a treasure-seeking afternoon game drive.
