Kavango Zambezi magic

The Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) invites the trade to help Uncover its many tourism attractions.

KAZA is immensely rich in natural and cultural diversity, nourished by its mighty rivers of life: the Kavango, Zambezi, Kwando, Chobe and Kafue.

These rivers flow through our five visionary nations: Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe who have come together to create and care for Kavango Zambezi to conserve one of our Earth’s beautiful places for future generations.

The natural resources that straddle international borders are a shared asset that deliver conservation and economic benefit best through collaborative effort.

KAZA’s vision is to see this tourist destination actively promoted by the travel trade and appreciated by local stakeholders, with so much for travellers to enjoy:

  • It is the largest terrestrial transfrontier conservation area in the world with 19 national parks, 103 wildlife management areas, 60 forest reserves and other valued natural resources.
  • Its abundance of flora and fauna includes over 50% of Africa’s savannah elephants, 25% of Africa’s wild dogs and over 600 bird species.
  • It boasts three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta and the Tsodilo Hills.
  • its 3 million people of the river are a celebration of cultural diversity expressed in a rich heritage of language, song, dance and storytelling in which they warmly invite guests to share.

By sharing in the rich diversity of cultural and natural experiences, tourists contribute significantly to conservation, the economic benefit of local communities as well as to the preservation of their rich cultural heritage.

For all of time people have been drawn together to share their stories, and it is said that those who share their stories honour life.  To hear more about you can play your part to honour all who love wildlife without borders please book a meeting with Alison.
