LION CAMP WELCOMES FAMILIES TO SOUTH LUANGWA
Lion Camp is a hidden gem located in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, an animal refuge and pristine protected ecosystem. Elevated above the valley floor, the unfenced lodge has a ‘natural tree house’ feel. Meander along the walkways from the spacious main lodge, where you can unwind at the bar after a refreshing dip in the pool; to ten luxury canvas and thatch suites, each with a deck overlooking spectacular views. Guests can enjoy the thrill of the safari, be it from game drives and special interest safaris to guided walking safaris, bird watching and stargazing. The Camp has 5 game vehicles for its 10 beautiful, standalone private Suites, so guests are guaranteed a bespoke, intimate and safe wilderness experience.
With only 4 guests per vehicle, an onsite hide at water level and photographic studio, Lion Camp is a photographer’s dream come true.
Sustainability is the underlying principle at Lion Camp. The lodge operates on solar power and is one of the first camps in South Luangwa to offset the carbon footprint of its operations. The camp closes over the rainy season and operates for only five months of the year from 21st May to 31st October.
On the news front, Lion Camp has launched its family (Ebony) suite for the new season which is ideal for multi-generational families and/or friends traveling together. The suite comprises a cosy, private lounge linking two luxury suites. Another suite similar to this will also be added in the year ahead due to its popularity. The camp welcomes children over the age of 10. https://lioncamp.com/
