NEW PEL’S ISLAND CAMP IN THE OKAVANGO DELTA

Pel’s Island Camp is an intimate, brand-new safari camp set to open its doors in September 2022 in nature’s much-loved masterpiece, Botswana’s Okavango Delta.  Named after a breeding pair of Pel’s fishing owls that have made the island their home, this is a dream come true for the Labuschagne family. The camp is set on the edge of a 24-hectare lagoon where guests can enjoy viewing the resident pod of hippos that are always happy to make their presence known – and is the main water source in the area for wildlife during the winter months.

The camp boasts 6 luxury suites (4 double suites & 2 family suites) with expansive views across the lagoon and Moremi grasslands. Activities will include floating along the crisscrossing waterways by mokoro, nature walks with expert guides and game drives.  The Delta promises exceptional wildlife encounters all year round.  Please note the camp is only accessible by helicopter – a magnificent start to any safari.
