ONGUMA DREAM CRUISER SLEEP OUT

Ever felt a little wistful of those intrepid adventurers who go off adventuring – sleeping wild or in a tent on the roof of their landy?  Well, Onguma in Namibia makes this dream a reality!  They have custom built a “Dream Cruiser” with a romantic upper deck with a beautiful bedroom and lounger area – with a full bathroom downstairs complete with shower, flush toilet and basin. Couples are usually dropped off after the afternoon game drive for sundowners.  They tuck into a decadent picnic dinner and then fall asleep beneath the stars, surrounded by the night sounds of the bush.  There is hot coffee and rusks to enjoy the sunrise with before returning to whichever of the five Onguma lodges you are staying at, for a hearty Onguma-style breakfast.  There is an optional canopy over the bed and a ranger is on call via a two-way radio – but this is a fantastically romantic way to be completely alone in the Namibian wilderness!
