2023 was an extremely eventful year in the Makuleke private concession in South Africa’s remote northern Kruger National Park, starting with external training for the teams across the board. A set of brand-new uniforms and a fleet of custom-fitted Land Cruisers accompanied the improved SOPs, which were soon followed by the arrival of new GMs, Ashleigh Gibson and Dylan Pons, and three new field guides.

The decking and flooring at Pel’s Post received a complete overhaul to address the damage caused by Cyclone Freddy and the installation of a solar energy facility at The Outpost was also completed.
