TourSafe Africa is a new, free resource for travelers and travel planners to locate trusted accommodations in Africa prepared to address their health, safety, and accessibility needs and concerns, including Covid coronavirus health & safety requirements, providing wheelchair and limited mobility accessibility, medical readiness, child-appropriate services, and are welcoming of solo travelers and the LGTBQ community.

www.toursafeafrica.org is simple, easy to navigate and features include a linked list of Trusted Travel Partner Properties, indexed by country, location, and services; and a resources page that gives pertinent up to date travel information as well as a section with many partner property’s Covid protocol manuals which show exactly what steps are being taken at their locations.
Before becoming a TourSafe Trusted Travel Partner and listed in the new travel guide, properties must be nominated and pass a detailed vetting process by the Executive Committee, which consists of Africa travel specialists with a minimum of 10 years experience in the industry.
There are currently over one hundred TourSafe Trusted Travel Partner properties located throughout Africa. They include Great Plains Conservation Group, African Bush Camps, Desert & Delta, Elewana, Nomad, Lemala Camps, Rovos Rail, Bush and Beyond, and the Zambia Collection.
TourSafe Africa is a U.S.-based LLC and is not a part of any accommodation chain, organization, or tour operation, and is a not-for-profit, non-salaried, independent entity. Founded by Alana Hayden, founder of The Association for Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA) and industry-leading tour operator since 1976, Born Free Safaris & Tours.
